THE BIOGRAPHY OF MURPHY AFOLABI
Murphy Afolabi was born on May 5, 1974. He clocked 49 years old in 2023.
The actor and producer was born in Osun State and hails from Oroki Asala in Osogbo.
Murphy began acting at a young age. His first stint in professional acting began under the guidance of veteran actor Fasasi Olabankewin (Dagunro) in 1998.
Afolabi produced several movies, including “Enu,” “Gbolahan,” “Owo Ale” “Asake,” and “igbekun,” among others. He won several awards for his contributions to the Nigerian film industry, including the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Yoruba) at the Best of Nollywood Awards in 2012.
The actor shot to fame following his role in t he movie ‘Omo Rapala.’ Until his death, he was a well-loved producer and had multiple movies to his credit.
EDUCATION:
Murphy has a Diploma in Theatre Arts and Film Production from Osun State Polytechnic in Iree. He graduated in 2001.

The actor was a father of three, two boys, and one girl named Afolabi Olamilekan, Afolabi Fathia Moyosore, and Okikiola Afolabi. Information about his family members is scarce, as he was a private person who kept his personal life away from the public eye.
