Maduka Okoye fails to save Sparta Rotterdam against Feyenoord

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was on the losing side as Sparta Rotterdam lost to Feyenoord in a Dutch Eredivisie encounter on Sunday.

Okoye was in goal for the entire duration of the match and was beaten twice by the away side.

Okoye conceded the first goal in the 11th minute, after poor defending from his side allowed Marcos Senesi sneak a pass through for Lutsharel Geertruida who headed home.

Feyenoord scored the second in stoppage time of the second half, through Danish forward Nicolai Joergensen.

Despite the defeat, Okoye’s team remain 9th on the log with 18 points from 15 matches and they are also 8 points above relegation zone.
