Nigerian youths wasting away – Prophet Ariole laments drug abuse

Prophet Ariole

Prophet Austin Ariole, General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle, GFT, in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government of Delta State, has lamented the spate of drug abuse in Nigeria, saying youths are wasting away.

He said this in a church service on Sunday.

While noting that Nigeria is giving citizens a headache, Prophet Ariole said the rate of madness in the nation is a result of hard drugs, addiction and abuses.

He stressed that youths are now into kidnapping, armed robbery and terrorism as a result of the intake of hard drugs.

He said there is a need for sensitisation, education and proper reformation/enlightenment of the people.

Prophet Ariole blamed Nigerian leaders and the church for the problems plaguing the nation, saying they had failed.

According to him, “The church is found wanting. There’s no longer righteousness in the church and the country. The only way out of corruption and bad leadership, in addition to drug abuses, is when there’s righteousness in this country.

He drew his texts from Ezra 10:4, Galatians 6:7 and Proverbs 14:34, enjoining the leaders and the church to seek the face of God for clear direction on how to defeat drug abuse and addiction.
