During the 2021 budget breakdown yesterday, the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, said the government might be forced to declare another Lockdown if the second wave of the COVID 19 gets out of hand. The minister prayed the situation should not get to such point that would warrant another lockdown.

She said the previous Lockdown really affected the economy and prayed it doesn’t happen again. But she said the government would take whatever step necessary if the health challenges becomes so large. She went on to say that the government is doing everything in its power to ensure that all measures needed to mitigate the impact of the virus are in place.

So far, the COVID 19 confirmed cases in Nigeria have crossed the 100,000 mark. The total number of deaths is now around 1,358 in Nigeria. Do you think the government should impose another lockdown even if the cases rises? Drop your comments and share to others.
